Service Technician

Performs technical, mainly pre-defined tasks for accomplishing defined service delivery work for customer equipment.

•Supports customer remotely and onsite and provides 2nd and 3rd level user support in case of arising issues.

•Coordinates and accomplishes defined service operations and/or resolves product issues for customers equipment.

•Supports in generating sales leads for pre-defined service offers and contributes to planning activities.

•Adheres to defined processes and applicable regulations.

•Stops, LOTO, and Starts Siemens Wind Turbine Generators

•Competent Person in performing scheduled service (500-Hrs, Annual, etc.) procedure without supervision

•May perform unscheduled maintenance, defective parts removal and replacement or participate in warranty campaigns as Lead Tech if

(a) utilizing documented Work Instructions and Approved Work Procedures and

(b) authorized by Site Lead/Supervisor for Work Instructions with rating of 2, 3 or 4.

•Provide On Job Training to trainees in performing service

•Lead small teams; accountable for the safety, competency and productivity of trainees & contractors assigned to them

•May act as Appointed Person or Appointed Person Trainer to sign off on the development of individuals

•May assist in large component replacements, retrofit, troubleshooting tasks and other special assignments with supervision

•Keep records, maintain documentation, follow safety procedures and report technical, safety issues and difficulties to the relevant individuals on site/back office

•Participate in on call arrangements (flexibility is important)

•Participate in all off the job technical and safety training required by company policy

•Report EHS issues in SPHERA, participate at LEAN @ Site program

* Level B Electrician prefered
